Olhava Mountain is one of the most common target to take
a picture in Repovesi National Park
Olhava Mountain rise up from pond. The rock is about half kilometers long and
rise strait up 50 meters. The pond is a part of rock breagage from north to
south east. The Ice Sheet emptied the pond and the rock got its’ shape. There
is many fallen stones which has made many holes and small caves. So the
rock is perfect place for bats.
Olvava is a holy and special place. On the rock there is a stone table. Our
archeologists have also found rock paintings.
Today the place is one of the most popular place for moutain climbing in
southern part of Finland. There is about twenty path to climb. Their say that you
find here the best climbing path through caves.
